Tara Woodcox is explaining her not so sanitary hack.
After her November 2025 “Travel Hack video” suggesting hotel guests use the room’s coffee maker to clean their underwear went viral, the TikToker addressed her critics, clarifying her experience with the controversal method.
“I’ve never actually done that, but it’s really funny you guys,” she said in a video shared on TikTok Feb. 23. “The amount of you guys that think…”
As for proof the hack caught heat in her own family, she was then interrupted by someone in the background asking, “What even makes you think to do that?”
After Tara said she “heard it from a friend,” the person exclaimed, “Your friend isn’t very smart.”
That feedback aside, Tara thanked the people who were in the comments getting into “full blown arguments” in her defense and further explained origin of her post.
“It was more of something that I posted to like to be like, ‘Why not to use the coffee pots?’” she said. “I learned that from a friend that was a flight attendant and I was like, ‘Ew.’ But I’ve never been into those Keurigs anyway not only because of the underwear, just cause they’re dirty and no hotel cleans them.”
