Shortly after Android 15 rolled out, Sony was quick to release the newest OS to its Xperia 1 VI flagship model and now the 2023 top-tier model Xperia 1 V is getting the Android 15 treatment.
Sony’s support page for the Xperia 1 V indicates that Android 15 is now rolling out and brings several changes to the system. For instance, you can take advantage of Private space, new wallpapers and home screen/lock screen styles, new Side Sense features, a redesigned quick settings panel and notification shade, new pop-up windows, Bluetooth broadcasting over Bluetooth LE Audio and more.
It’s important to note that this is the end of the road for Xperia 1 V. The handset will no longer receive major software updates, just security patches from now on. The handset launched with Android 13 and is now getting its latest Android 15 upgrade.
