Drama is back in session.
In the season three trailer for Tell Me Lies, Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White) have rekindled their toxic romance, despite the apparent disapproval of their inner circle.
But their relationship is complicated by Stephen’s knowledge that his girlfriend previously hooked up with Evan (Branden Cook), a revelation he has no choice but to accept.
“It’s been rough,” Stephen said in the preview released Dec. 17, “but I just have to try to get over it.”
As for Lucy, she has demons of her own to contend with. During the trailer, she filmed herself tearfully saying, “I need to apologize to everyone, so I am making this tape to say that I am so sorry.”
And the chaotic college sweethearts aren’t the only ones navigating uncomfortable circumstances. Lucy’s friend Bree (Cat Missal) admitted she was still thinking about her older, married professor Oliver (Tom Ellis), despite the revelation in season two that his wife Marianne (Gabriella Pession) was aware of their affair.
