“Maybe, people only hate cliches, bc they are the undeniable, unavoidable truth hitting us right in the face,” she continued, “and if you’re fortunate enough, kids growing up is one of those few guarantees in life.”
The Steel Magnolias star—who also shares daughter Ivey, 7, with husband Jamie Watson—went on to call the “privilege” of watching one’s children grow up “one of the most beautiful & fulfilling things we can experience as humans.”
And while motherhood can have ups and downs, Jamie Lynn said she’s “grateful” for every “moment” of the journey.
“It’s bittersweet, bc you’re so proud of everything they have accomplished this far,” she explained, “and so excited to watch everything that their future will bring, while also longing for them to stay your baby forever.”
