And the app has just taken a huge step up with the recent version 2.5 update.
To make the most of the app, it’s easy to add all of the entertainment you’re interested in. Each option, like TV shows, has its own unique layout. To keep a collection tidy, you can also automatically hide a completed item.
One of the best new parts of the update is the Open In feature. You can quickly jump in from and media item to trusted sources like IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, Audible, Goodreads, and more. You can see reviews, and even make a purchase, if applicable.
With smarter episode alerts, you can see the second a new episode is available. Or just see a notification for season premiers and finales. Those can also be limited to series you’re caught up on to better suit your viewing habits.
To not worry about your library, new automated backups will also keep everything safe in the background if something happens to your device.
Sequel is for the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. It’s a free download. With the free version, you can create up to five collections.
To unlock everything from the app, you’ll need a Sequel+ subscription for $2.99 per month or $19.99 yearly.
