Tia Mowry is holding onto some special memories.
As the Sister, Sister alum navigates single life following her split from ex Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage, she revealed what she plans to do with her wedding bands and how it involves their son Cree, 13, and daughter Cairo, 6.
“I haven’t worn it for almost two years now and it just doesn’t feel right to sell it,” Tia explained on the Oct. 11 episode of her show Tia Mowry: My Next Act. “But what I am wanting to do is change my wedding band into something for my kids.”
“Pass it down because they have been my biggest gift,” she continued in her emotional reflection. “It has just been sitting there. It was very pretty. If it’s made into something else, then it’s put to use.”
Although the 46-year-old reframed her perspective on repurposing the ring for her kids, it’s still a difficult experience.
She added, “It’s sad because this is a symbol of a marriage and it’s no longer.”
