Prepare to blast off into summer reading.
Indeed, what better way to make a dent in that ever-growing TBR list than setting up a chair and cracking open a book while on the beach, at the lake or propped up next to the nearest fan. And this summer is chock full of some fun new titles.
Take, for example, Taylor Jenkins Reid, who is quite literally, moving to new heights with her ‘80s-set new novel Atmosphere (out June 3), which follows Joan Goodwin—the latest in the author’s trailblazing heroine protagonists—and her fellow NASA recruits who are training to be the next set of astronauts to go where few have gone before them.
While Jenkins Reid is shooting for the stars, R.F. Kuang’s latest, Katabasis (our August 26) is moving in a decidedly different direction. After all, grad school student Alice Law must join forces with her rival to save the soul of her mentor after an accident sends him into the depths of Hell.
