May is shaping up to be a busy month for Sony, as it already scheduled its Xperia 1 VII launch. We now get confirmation that the brand’s flagship noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM6, are also launching next week.
The XM6 are set to launch two days after the Xperia 1 VII, on May 15 at 9AM PDT time (4PM UTC).
Sony’s upcoming flagship noise-canceling headphones are set to receive several key upgrades. According to a recent leak, the XM6 will get Sony’s new QN3 processor, which should offer improved audio and noise cancellation capabilities.

A set of new images shared by The Walkman Blog gives us a better look at the updated hinge mechanism, which will help the XM6 fold, making them easier to carry around.

There’s an additional rumor that Sony may bring water resistance to the XM6, but that’s still speculation at this point.
