2024 PCCAs Host Shania Twain Reveals Her Three Favorite Songs From All Her Albums!
Don’t get Shania Twain wrong, she thinks Brad Pitt is all right.
Indeed, the country music superstar admits there’s no bad blood between her and the Oscar winner, over two decades after name-dropping him in “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”
“We’ve never met,” the 60-year-old said in an Oct. 26 interview on the Wood & Woody radio show. “And I mean, you know, There’s a lot of Hollywood celebrities I haven’t met. He must be impressed with that though, you know?”
In the single released in 1997, Shania says the F1 star’s name after running down a list of factors about men that simply leave her uninterested.
“Okay, so you’re Brad Pitt?” she sings. “That don’t impress me much.”
Shania explained how the Hollywood heartthrob’s name came top of mind as she was writing the single at the time amid Playgirl obtaining nude photos of the actor.
“I was thinking, ‘Okay everybody in the world is in love with Brad Pitt right now,’” Shania said. “There were nude photos out of him, and everyone was gaga over that. And I’m thinking, ‘Okay, if there is anyone that is making an impression on anyone…’ That’s why I picked on him.”
