The Realme GT 7 Pro made its global debut in late November, following its initial unveiling in China earlier that month. And now reports are coming in that the version sold in India is receiving its first ever software update.
This arrives over-the-air as software version RMX5011_15.0.0.140(EX01) and is an 838MB download. It updates the Android security patch level to November 2024, which is good but we’re already in December.

It also updates the Wi-Fi firmware to improve compatibility and stability, improves the fingerprint unlocking experience and “unlocking success rate”, improves battery life “in some scenes” and overall system stability, “optimizes camera shooting experience”, whatever that means, and fixes an issue of unresponsiveness when tapping the Settings button in the top right corner of the YouTube app (which sounds incredibly specific and thus we assume was pretty widespread).

As always, updates like these are likely to be sent out in batches, so if you have a Realme GT 7 Pro purchased from India and haven’t received the update notification yet, fret not for it is on its way. It just might take a few days to reach every unit out there.
