Kaftans are an easy go-to this time of year—ideal for layering over a swimsuit at the beach or pool, or dressing up slightly while traveling somewhere warm. I’ve found so many beautifully made styles over the years that deserve more than a moment by the water. Their lightweight fabrics are perfect for these hot days, and I’ll sometimes add a belt to create a more polished shape. They’re effortlessly versatile and well-suited for long summer days spent near the water or out and about. Below, a few current favorites for wherever you’re headed this season.
