Bringing Up Bates Siblings Speak Out on Erin Bates’ Septic Shock Battle After Baby No. 7
Erin Bates is recovering from a terrifying health crisis.
After the Bringing Up Bates star suffered complications following the birth of her and husband Chad Paine’s seventh baby Henry, he shared an update on how she’s been doing.
“With tears in our eyes, we are praising the Lord that we are on the road to recovery,” Chad wrote on Instagram Sept. 6 alongside a video of the reality star awake and giving kisses to their baby boy. “Your prayers have definitely touched heaven.”
The 34-year-old’s health update comes just two days after her husband shared that Erin had suffered a “lengthy and severe seizure” and was admitted to the ICU after developing a severe UTI and kidney infection, which sent her into septic shock, shortly after giving birth.
“Up to this point, Erins infection was getting better, but we found ourselves back in a place of heartache, uncertainty, and tears,” Chad—who also shares kids Carson, 10, Brooklyn, 8, Everly, 7, Holland, 5, Finley, 3, William, 22 months, with Erin—wrote on Instagram Sept. 4. “The doctors are running scans and tests to determine the cause. Erin is extremely weak and spent hours only half conscious.”
