The Roots and Live Nation Urban have revealed the lineup for the 2025 edition of the Roots Picnic. Headlining the event is D’Angelo with the Roots, and there are co-headlining sets by Meek Mill and Lenny Kravitz. Also slated for the event are Pusha T, Glorilla, Tems, Kaytranada, 2 Chainz, Miguel, Latto, and more. The festival takes place at the Mann in Fairmount Park, in Philadelphia, on May 31 and June 1. The Roots Picnic 2025 includes a special Jeezy set celebrating the 20th anniversary of his album Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, as well as Musiq Soulchild ringing in the 25th anniversary of Aijuswanaseing and the Roots playing Do You Want More?!!!??! for its 30th birthday. Among the other performers are Adam Blackstone, Backyard Band featuring CeeLo Green, Kur, Elmiene, Rich Medina, Crystal Waters, Lay Banks, Jermaine Dolly, Laila!, Funk Flex, Diamond Kuts, and DJ Aktive.
