The app acts as both a monitor of your hear rate monitor and activity tracker. Using studies from the American Heart Association, the app provides recommendations to improve your cardiovascular system and maintain good health.
Heart rate readings are separated into low, normal, elevated, and high to quickly view averages.
You can also see all of the data captured during workouts.
To help you see data at a glance, without opening the app, there is also a home and lock screen widget.
And the app has just been updated to version 7.2 with a host of new features.
The most important addition is the new Personalized Health Coach. “It provides custom tips to help you meet fitness goals, such as ‘Just 21 minutes of walking or 10 minutes of running to complete your goal! Let’s make it happen.’” The coach will appear throughout the app, including in the trends section as well.
The app has also added a new data visualization along with performance improvements.
