It is already perfectly clear that a new iPhone SE model is incoming. In keeping with the ongoing naming convention, it will almost definitely be called the iPhone SE (4th gen) or iPhone SE (2025), though Apple typically just markets these devices as the iPhone SE without any additional clarifications.
We currently expect the phone to get a low-key launch without an official launch event sometime next week. There have already been numerous leaks regarding the handset, and now we get yet another look at the phone, once again confirming certain rumors, namely that the phone will have a display notch and a single rear camera. There is a fresh new set of detailed renders courtesy of case manufacturer Spigen.
We can deduce a bit of info from the images. The button layout seems standard for Apple, though the Alert Slider seems to be replaced with a button. It’s a bit hard to tell. The display clearly has a notch. The speculation is that the iPhone SE (4th gen) will have a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, just like the iPhone 14. All of Apple’s Face ID sensors also seem to be fitted inside the notch.
As far as other rumors go, we believe that the phone will be powered by an Apple A18 chipset with 8GB of RAM, capable of running Apple Intelligence. The rear camera is said to be a 48MP unit. Allegedly, the new SE will be the first iPhone to feature an in-house cellular modem, paving the way for a future without reliance on Qualcomm. We expect a Type-C port as well. The suggested starting retail price for the iPhone SE (4th gen) is $499.
