The game is easy to learn but difficult to master. To begin, there is a simple premises. You’ll swipe to place blocks on a 9×9 grid with the aim to clear as many rows and columns as possible.
There’s one big twist: you can only put four blocks of the same color in any row or column. That brings a big dose of strategy to every move on the board.
To help, the color and block count for your next move are always shown in the top left corner.
If you ever get stuck, you can make use of a hint or shake up the board to help.
I’ve played a few rounds of the game and am definitely hooked. I though the game would be easy, but the unique rules forces you to think a few steps ahead, giving your brain a good test.
BlockSwipePuzzle is for the iPhone and all iPad models. It’s a free download on the App Store now.
