Strong storms and even a tornado left extensive damage across west Georgia over the weekend.

Many are now picking up the pieces of homes scattered and destroyed while multiple roads remain flooded.

The storms first started to make their way through the metro area Saturday night; however, the worst conditions wouldn’t arrive until the next day.

Early Sunday morning, a tornado tore through Troup County near LaGrange, damaging dozens of buildings.
