Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech: The No. 6 seeded Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets treated head coach Nell Fortner to a birthday present with a 45-40 win over No. 11 seeded Wake Forest. The Yellow Jackets had to regroup after losing Lorela Cubaj to injury early in the game, but were able to overcome. It was a defensive battle, with neither team shooting over 38% from the floor in the game. Eylia Love led all scorers with 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Lotta-Maj Lahtinen scored 10 points with 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the win. The Jackets held the Demon Deacons to 22% shooting from the floor, including 3-of-18 from three-point range. Jewel Spear paced the Deacs with 11 points in the loss.
