Captain Andrea Lewis is well aware that she’s a rarity.
She made history as the first Black female pilot with the Georgia Air National Guard. Flying is a part of her flying history as her dad was a pilot for the Marine Corps and flew for American Airlines while her mom was a flight attendant for Delta.
When her dad passed away, she made the decision to start flying.
BNC’s Stephanie Bertani has more on the journey of Lewis.
