Stiff penalties from the NCAA now ‘on course’ to come to a couple of Mercer’s athletic programs. Yesterday, the organization announced sanctions for the university’s women’s cross country and track and field teams. Next, nearly two years after a drug investigation in Bibb County, four people found guilty on different charges in the case now know their prison sentences. The sentencings happened this week. This weekend, one group in Warner Robins wants to address the city’s recent string of violent crime. Since July, the city’s had at least six shootings that’s left four people dead.
